Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) seeks an Assembly Lead for 2nd shift (5pm - 3am) to supervise a team of 5-7 in our assembly department. You will train, coach and mentor workers to ensure accurate, timely and cost-efficient completion of tasks while upholding safety, quality and delivery standards.

You will report to the Assembly Area Supervisor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tight deadlines, using your SME experience in welding or fabrication to drive continuous improvement and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of assembly experience in welding, overhead crane, or fabrication.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• At least 1 year as SME in welding and/or fabrication.
• Experience leading teams with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and management.
• Good time management and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5-7 in the assembly department with training and mentoring.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of tasks.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping records and monitor performance.
• Enforce safety, quality, and delivery standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to meet deadlines.
• Interpret engineering drawings and note variances.
• Provide 90-day performance feedback and support annual reviews.
• Coach team through problem solving and conflict resolution.
