The Assembly Lead will manage a team of 5-7 employees in the assembly department, focusing on training, coaching, and mentoring to ensuretimelyand cost-effective completion of assembly tasks. This role is accountable formaintainingaccuratetimekeeping records, monitoring team performance, and upholding safety, quality, and delivery standards. Reporting directly to the Assembly Area Supervisor, the Assembly Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional department leaders to meet critical project deadlines and drive operational success.
This is a 2nd shift position 5pm - 3am.
Accountabilities:
At least 3 years of experience related to Assembly, in one or more of the following, welding, overhead crane or fabrication.
Bilingual required (Spanish/English)
At least 1 year as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of welding and/or fabrication.
Lead teams with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving basic to complex issues.
Collaborate with coworkers and peers to encourage teamwork and accountability.
Exhibit consistent time management skills and adapt to quickly changing priorities.
Experience accurately reading and interpreting blueprints and identifying irregularities.
Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality and ability to identify imperfections.
Demonstrate clear communication with other internal teams/supervisors/management.
Knowledge of job site safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.
Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.
Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
Experience and understanding of overhead cranes and forklifts and scissor lifts.
Working Conditions: Warehouse/Shop floor environment. May require occasional overtime to meet production deadlines.
