Job summary

Sonoco is seeking an Assembly role in Carrollton, GA on 2nd shift (2p-10p). You will assemble wooden reels for wire and cable using hand and power tools, supporting a new reel assembly line and maintaining safety.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you’ll collaborate with other departments, troubleshoot issues, adjust processes, and uphold quality and clean work areas. Physical work includes standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs; prior warehousing experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing is helpful.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wood reels using hand and power tools according to specifications.
• Collaborate with other departments and teams.
• Troubleshoot problems and situations.
• Make incremental process adjustments, monitor quality of manufactured product.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
• Help out other departments as needed.
