Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for the Chattanooga, TN site on a second shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 3pm-1am). The role involves repairing and replacing parts, troubleshooting electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and performing inspections on sophisticated civilian aircraft.

Qualifications include an Airframe or Powerplant license with 0-6+ years of aviation maintenance experience depending on the AMT level.

Qualifications

• Airframe or Powerplant license required; Airframe license preferred for AMT I/II/III roles.
• 0-2 years aviation maintenance experience for AMT I; 2-4 years for AMT II; 4-6+ years for AMT III; 6+ years for AMT IV.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Move aircraft and assist in performance runs and taxiing.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Navigate maintenance data bases and manuals.
