Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a 2nd Pressman in the Phoenixville area. The role involves supporting the 1st Pressman with color and register corrections, and stepping in when needed to run the press.

Overtime and varied shifts may apply, with union progression after a 60-day probation. The position requires manufacturing experience and 2–5 years of relevant work, excellent attendance, and the ability to work independently and meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience required.
• Must have excellent attendance and be able to work independently and perform duties satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Assist 1st Pressman by making color or register corrections and/or press adjustments to meet specifications.
• Run press during 1st Pressman's absence and fulfill duties in this capacity.
• Read and follow job specifications to determine set-up materials needed.
• Adjust press machine parts such as feeder, delivery, suction, guides, feed wheels, and cams using hand tools.
• Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers.
• Wash blankets and clean ink distributing rollers and ink fountains.
• Assist in the maintenance of the press.
• Assist temporary employees and reinforce SQF standards and Graphic Packaging International’s core values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Keep building clean and support plant-wide painting schedule and SQF audits.
