Qualifications

• Teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution required.
• K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred.
• Reading Academies certification for K-3 required or willingness to obtain TX training within timelines.
• Bilingual certification strongly preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track each student’s progress with formal and informal assessments and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Use technology to support communication and learning and manage tasks.
