Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a qualified Full-Time Packer to join the Chillicothe, OH team. The role operates on 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (10:30pm-7am) with potential overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and label boxes for products from the production line.
• Ensure seals, codes, dates and prices on bags and cases are correct.
• Remove defective products from the line and maintain a clean work area.
• Sanitize the work area and plant equipment.
• Enter and track manufacturing data in the ERP system and keep records up to date.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material replenishment.

We are currently seeking a qualified individual for our Full-Time Packer position, to join our Chillicothe, OH team!

• SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; 2nd shift - 2:30pm-11pm OR 3rd Shift: 10:30pm-7am
• Additional hours may be required due to business demands.

What You Need To Get Started

• Must complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen, as well as a preplacement screening which tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.

• Must be able to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Must be able to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.

• Sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Assemble and label boxes to be filled with products off the production line.
• Ensure proper seals, codes, dates, and prices on product bags and cases are correct.
• Take defective products off the production line.
• Clean and sanitize the work area and plant equipment.
• Ensure that manufacturing data is accurately entered and tracked in the ERP system, including production orders, materials, and finished goods.
• Update and maintain ERP records to reflect real-time data, including production status, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
• Enter production and manufacturing data into the ERP system, including raw material consumption, machine usage, labor hours, and quality control data.
• Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate with the necessary teams to ensure timely material replenishment.
• Other ERP responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
