Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Production Operators for our corrugated sheet feeder plant in Denton, TX. Training on 1st shift (6am–2pm) with eventual move to 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities include operating equipment to spec, monitoring control systems, troubleshooting, and performing basic maintenance while ensuring safety and quality goals. Overtime, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of a post-high school education in a manufacturing industrial focused program.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day in a loud/noisy industrial environment.

Education
