Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for Delphi, IN. The role supports production by minimizing downtime and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on processing equipment.

Shifts are 8-10 hours with mandatory overtime and weekends; hours vary by team. The candidate will perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic work, read schematics, and service drives/conveyors.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining mechanical drives, chain drives and conveyors.
• TIG/Stick welding and fabrication.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
• Able to read and understand prints, schematics and documents.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear boxes preferred.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to complete safety training including confined spaces and working at heights.
• Must have personal hand tools.
• English literacy for instructions and labels.
• Hazmat certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment.
• Schedules and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on processing equipment.
• Diagnoses, replaces or repairs parts; tests and adjusts equipment to prevent issues.
• Uses hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Adheres to safety policies and company standards.
• Collaborates with coworkers and supervisors to maintain a positive atmosphere.
