Job summary

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office offers a 2L Summer Internship, a ten-week program providing exposure to the prosecutor’s role in the Philadelphia criminal justice system. Interns will rotate with Trial Division or Law Division units, based on office needs and demonstrated ability and work ethic.

Duties include handling misdemeanor trials and felony preliminary hearings in Municipal or Family Court, or researching caselaw, drafting briefs, and potential court appearances for the PCRA

Qualifications

• Must be a current 2L student at an accredited law school.
• Must be a Certified Legal Intern.
• Demonstrated commitment to public service and a strong academic record.
• Ability to demonstrate fairness, empathy, and handle confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Trial Division: handle misdemeanor trials and felony preliminary hearings.
