A long-term substitute is defined as the same person substituting for the same teacher for more than ten (10) consecutive days in the same assignment. Long-term positions begin on the eleventh day; the substitute shall be paid the appropriate long-term rate.

A registered nurse (RN) who is substituting for a school nurse will be paid $105/daily.

Substitutes are required to pick up two jobs, per semester to remain active. Also, you must sign a Letter of Reasonable Assurance (LORA) each year, or else you will become inactive.
