Position Overview

The School of Music seeks graduate students as Teaching Associate applicants. Teaching Associates typically are responsible for providing classroom instruction. Eligibility is determined by successful TA eligibility, department eligibility and adequate funding.

• The department is seeking TA applicants for sections of Music31-39, Music 31E-39E, Music 31J-35J, Music 31P-39P (Lower division applied instruction), Music102MW Masterworks Chorus, Music 102PB Basketball Band and Music 117CM Chamber Music Red Wave.
• TAs will teach sections of Music 102PB, Music 117CM Chamber Music Red Wave, and Music 102MW Masterworks Chorus the following semester and could have opportunities to teach other beginning courses in the School of Music.

The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign TAs to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.
