The department is seeking TA applicants for sections of English 5A. Determined on successful TA Eligibility and Department Eligibility, TAs will teach sections of English 5B for the following semester and could have opportunities to teach other beginning courses in the English Department.
The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign TAs per the department program and curriculum usually in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.
Such courses might include English 175T (Special Topics in Rhetoric and Writing), English 131 (Literacy Studies), CI 161 (Methods and Materials in Secondary Teaching), English 132S (Rhetoric, Grammar, Writing Instruction), and Linguistics 237 (Teaching Basic Written English). Writing, tutoring or teaching experience preferred but not required.
