Job description

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Children’s Emergency Services Coordinator, staff serves as a master’s level clinician providing short-term, urgent crisis intervention services to youth at risk for an out of home placement and their families. Intervention services provided could include intake assessments, office-based and mobile psychiatric hospitalization screenings, referrals, and family interventions that require extensive crisis/safety planning and follow-up. Other duties will include consultation and collaboration with other service providers and case documentation. Services will be provided in the office, community and consumers' home. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required or must be obtained within 60 days of application. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required, or must have applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. One year of post Master’s experience with minors with SED and families within the past 6 years. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job-related use is required.

Conditional Employment Requirement: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and central registry clearance.

Salary/Hours: $58,843-$66,788 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $77,230. 40 hours per week. M-F 8-5pm with some evening hours.

Location: Families Forward/Emergency Services, Lansing, Michigan.
