Job summary

Penguin Solutions in Columbus, Georgia is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead a 24x7 Data Center Technician team and align services with client objectives. You will deliver technical roadmaps to improve uptime and performance, manage SLAs/KPIs, and build strong client relationships across senior leadership.

The role is onsite at the customer's data center with opportunities to influence multiple enterprise accounts and advance operations in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• BS IT Management, CS or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience managing a Customer Support Desk.
• 3+ years in technical operations management.
• 2+ years in project management.
• 4+ years interfacing with customers including executive-level interactions.
• Experience with hyperscalers, enterprise or government clients.
• Linux, Windows Server, scripting, Python.
• Jira/Bitbucket or similar experience.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
• Ability to lead a team and drive accountability.
• Comfort presenting to senior leaders, onsite or remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage 24x7 Data Center Technician team to ensure uptime.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with qualitative and quantitative metrics.
• Conduct Monthly Op Reviews / Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Provide Technical Roadmap Development.
• Meet or exceed SLAs and KPIs for clients.
• Monitor health of technical solutions and identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics and reports; data-driven decisions.
• Build strong client relationships as the primary technical contact.
• Coordinate updates, outages, incidents, and requests with clear communication.
• Collaborate with other resources and develop standards for Services.
• Maintain professional demeanor and empathy in challenging situations.
• Document incidents and outages in the CRM.
