Job summary

GlobalPoint HC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse on the Geropsychiatric Unit in Nashua, NH. You will perform comprehensive nursing care, assess patient conditions, document histories and progress, and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering medications, planning individualized care, and coordinating discharge planning. A valid NH RN license and BLS are required, with 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: 2-year Associates degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program required
• Must possess valid State of New Hampshire RN license; BLS certification required
• Experience: 1 year nursing experience preferred; Medical terminology required
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; CQI+ data handling

Job description

A registered nurse (RN) executes comprehensive nursing care activities on the Geropsychiatric Unit. This position is responsible for assessing, monitoring, recording and reporting symptoms or changes in patient conditions. RNs are required to maintain accurate patient reports and medical histories, perform mental and physical assessments, administer medication and treatment to patients, provide assistance to patients with daily activities and observe reactions. They are also responsible for managing activities with the therapeutic milieu including daily groups, education, 1:1 with individual patients and collaborating with other members of the treatment team to insure the best possible care for the patients. Complete individualized treatment plans for each patient upon admission and ongoing with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Plan, implement and coordinate nursing care activities for patients Conduct therapies in accordance with patient s diagnosis and needs. Perform treatment intervention following physician orders such as medication administration and medical treatment orders. Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and outside health and social agencies. Provide efficient discharge plans and obtain accurate histories at admission Complete all required documentation relevant to patients in a timely, efficient manner. This includes but is not limited to Admission paperwork Assessments (mental and physical) Progress notes
