Job summary

JBS USA is seeking personnel for our tannery operations. A successful applicant must pass a pulmonary function test to be respirator qualified. Due to safety sensitivity, random drug screening may be performed.

Our tannery operates 24 hours a day, 364 days a year. The role covers strict PPE usage, chemical handling, and process control steps from loading to lime fleshing. Employee will follow the sequence of basic job steps, ensuring proper equipment checks, date verifications, and documentation

Responsibilities

• Check PPE before use.
• Monitor H2S, pH meter, thermometer, and salometer.
• Prepare the drum to receive hides.
• Position the big door for loading.
• Check formula date and formula receipt for chemicals.
• After loading, set the big door to closed.
• Use the formula to start the soaking procedure; monitor water and chemicals.
• Record and have the supervisor verify the controls from the formula.
• Measure samples as required by the beamhouse process.
• Download drum after processing for transport to lime fleshing.
