Job summary

Turning Stone Casino, operated by the Oneida Indian Nation in Verona, NY, seeks a Technical Systems Analyst to proactively support operations, monitor computer systems, and help resolve issues across the enterprise. You will work with AS/400, UNIX, Windows, and networked platforms to maintain performance and uptime.

Responsibilities include incident management, 1st/2nd level support, change control, back-up procedures, and on/off boarding.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent IT experience (min 4 yrs).
Strong troubleshooting skills; know when to elevate issues.
Solid knowledge of IBM AS/400 OS/400, UNIX, Intel platforms, DB concepts and networking protocols.
Basic Windows operating systems understanding.
Able to work 24x7 shifts.
Proficient with Office, Windows, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, cabling).
Familiar with corporate infrastructure tools: Outlook, Citrix MetaFrame, Windows Terminal Services, Active Directory, NDS, antivirus.
End-user hardware support: PCs, monitors, keyboards, printers, laptops.
Detail oriented with multi-tasking capability.
Familiar with VPN and TFP concepts.
Understanding of Incident Management and Response.

Responsibilities

Support startup, monitoring, control, and shutdown of computer systems and consoles.
Evaluate system performance and implement improvements.
Troubleshoot proactively to minimize business impact.
Assist in creating and updating Operations Procedures and Manuals.
Establish and follow standard operating policies for systems.
Manage backup schedules and offsite tape rotation.
Provide 1st/2nd level system support and escalate tickets as needed.
Open trouble tickets and coordinate with support model timelines.
Remote control of servers/desktops during troubleshooting.
Place service calls to vendors for hardware/software as required.
Resolve tickets promptly per service levels.
Monitor batch processing and work requests.
Ensure data backups run as scheduled and protect data integrity.
Conduct Gaming System Audits and manage onboarding/offboarding.
