Job summary

Inversion6 is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor and defend customer environments from a 24/7 SOC, investigating alerts and supporting incident detection and response to protect systems, networks, and data.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established processes. Collaboration with SOC team members and internal groups is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with SIEM tools and security incident processes.
• Knowledge of vulnerability tools and network security controls (IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Certifications such as Security+, GSEC, GCIA are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM and other applications for security incidents
• 2nd level analysis and response to security incidents
• Log and document event responses per procedures
• Perform basic application administration for security monitoring tools
• Monitor security application health
• Create or update security operations procedures and documentation
• Stay abreast of current threats and vulnerabilities
• Provide tuning and filtering recommendations to engineering teams
• Other duties as assigned
