Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish is seeking a part-time Front Desk Associate to serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors at the Edmonds EDNSC. You will handle calls, distribute mail, monitor access, and provide referrals in a diverse, high-traffic setting.

The role emphasizes antiracism principles, cultural competency, and compassionate service. Shifts include swing, overnight, and weekend hours with a $26.50 hourly rate and prorated benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• High school diploma or GED plus 3 years in a customer service facing role.
• Experience in social service setting preferred.
• Experience serving vulnerable populations.
• Demonstrated cultural competency with diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills for fast-paced environment.
• Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
• Adaptability to changing schedules or priorities.
• Positive demeanor with conflict de-escalation skills.
• Basic computer literacy with Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and direct to appropriate departments.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and sanitized lobby and common areas.
• Help prepare and distribute daily meals to clients.
• Provide resources and referrals to visitors and clients.
• Uphold the YWCA's social justice commitments in daily work.
• Treat all clients and staff with respect and dignity.
