Job summary

YWCA Seattle King Snohomish in Edmonds, WA seeks an on-site Front Desk Associate for a 24/7 on-call role. You will be the first point of contact, handling calls, mail, access control, and guest assistance while delivering culturally responsive service and referrals.

The position requires 18+, a high school diploma or GED, and 3 years in customer service. Hourly rate is $26.50 with a strong benefits package including medical insurance, retirement, and leave plans.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 years in a customer service facing role.
Ability to work with the public and in crisis situations; experience in social services preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfort with conflict de-escalation.
Basic computer literacy including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Answer all incoming calls, direct them to appropriate departments, and take messages.
Ensure front desk lobby and common areas are neat, clean, and sanitized.
Help prepare and distribute daily meals to clients.
Provide resources and referrals to visitors and clients.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold YWCA policies and procedures.
Assist with deliveries, mail, and shipments; support office operations.
