Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund seeks a Safety Monitor to oversee the Bronx facility's security and safety operations. The role requires ensuring access control around the clock, reporting hazards, and coordinating with the Safety Supervisor for timely responses.

You will maintain logs, assist with attendance, and uphold a clean, professional appearance in a demanding environment. Candidates should have NYS Security Guard License, Fire Guard (F02), CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in commercial and/or residential security services.
• Active New York State Security Guard License.
• Good communication/writing skills, experience with families/homeless population.
• Fire Guard (F02) License.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation.
• Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the shift orders from Safety Supervisors are followed.
• Perform Detex patrols and conduct half-hourly rounds.
• Communicate pertinent information to the Safety Supervisor.
• Maintain secure entries in the desk logbook and attendance roster.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Drive the facility van when required.
• Adhere to dress code and present a professional appearance.
• Complete incident reports using CARES as needed.
• Rotate shifts as required by operations leadership.
