Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund in Bronx, NY is seeking an Operations Manual Laborer to supervise Safety Monitors, ensure safety and security, and manage daily facility operations on the assigned shift.

The role requires a NYS driver's license, CPR certification, and a security license; supervisory experience is preferred. You will conduct drills, document incidents, and cooperate with DHS protocols to protect clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Security license required.
• Must possess an F80.
• CPR certification required.
• NYS Driver's license required.
• Two years supervisory experience in commercial/residential security or five years as Private/Personal Security Officer.
• Good communication skills; experience working with women and children.
• Exhibits superior professionalism at all times, even under pressure or facing challenges with clients.
• Must successfully complete background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Safety Monitors and ensures all safety and security duties are performed according to agency protocol.
• Conducts fire drills and documents results.
• Responds to incidents and follows DHS and agency protocols in reporting and documenting incidents.
• Reports incidents of Child Abuse to the state Central Registry.
• Interacts with HERO and provides updates on unit vacancies and occupancies.
• Accepts referrals and conducts initial intake of new families upon arrival to the facility.
• Answers facility phone and directs calls.
• Ensures Safety Monitors patrols and monitor the CCTV camera system and report observations.
• Assists Safety Monitors in ensuring clients follow shelter rules while in the facility.
• Trains Safety Monitors in security measures and recommends changes in procedures/equipment to the Manager of Building Operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Admin: conducts daily audit of DeskLog entries for accuracy.
• Prepares employee appraisals and incident/accident reports.
• Maintains and schedules vans daily usage.
• Completes end-of-shift reports and emails to Program Director, DSS/Asst. Director, and Manager of Operations.
