Job summary

Children's Rescue Fund in Bronx, NY is seeking a dedicated Safety Monitor to oversee the facility's physical plant, access control, and safety procedures 24/7. You will patrol, report hazards, log entries, and support a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors while adhering to agency dress code and incident reporting protocols.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR certification, and at least two years of security experience, with flexibility for overtime and

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in commercial and/or residential security services.
• Active New York State Security Guard License.
• Good communication and writing skills with families/homeless populations.
• Must meet Security Guard Act of 1992 requirements.
• Background check clearance is required.
• Driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that the Safety Supervisor's orders are followed.
• Performs Detex patrols and conducts half-hourly patrols.
• Communicates pertinent information to the Safety Supervisor.
• Keeps accurate entries in the security desk logbook.
• Obtains client signatures to complete Daily Attendance Roster.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Drives the facility van when required.
• Must maintain valid NYS Security License.
• Overtime may be required.
• Shifts may be rotated as needed by the Director of Operations.
