Job summary

The Bizzell Group is seeking a Security Officer to manage safety and security programs for the Center in Guthrie, OK. The role requires 24/7 availability and involves patrolling, enforcing policies, assisting visitors and staff, and conducting thorough safety checks.

Responsibilities include investigating incidents, preparing written reports, coordinating cadet recruitment and training, and participating in safety and fire prevention programs while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of security, law enforcement, military, or related experience.
• At least one year in a residential living setting and background in youth programs preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Computer literacy with email and basic programs.
• Knowledge of operating security and surveillance equipment and basic security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Foot patrols all assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
• Enforces all laws, rules, and policies within scope of authority and coordinates activities with supervisors.
• Aids and assists visitors, student employees, and staff in every way possible.
• Performs building security and safety checks and prepares written accident reports and other required reports.
• Provides transportation service as needed and investigates vehicle accidents at the Center.
• Coordinates recruiting, selecting, and training security cadets; conducts daily briefings and reports to appropriate staff.
• Maintains safety programs, follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct; supports The Bizzell Group’s values and operating principles.
