Job summary

Bizzell Group seeks a Safety Officer for Guthrie Jobs Corps Center in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety.
• Knowledge of safety management information systems.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs building safety checks weekly and provides written feedback to Safety/Security Manager.
• Conducts regular inspections of GSA vehicles for safety and maintenance and communicates concerns to the Safety/Security Manager and Senior Driver.
• Conducts weekly safety training for new students.
• Assists the Safety/Security Manager with investigations of safety-related issues.
• Monitors the Center grounds daily throughout the training day to ensure PPE use and safe work habits.
• Develops, implements, and maintains the Center Safety Committee.
• Conduct safety orientations for new employees.
• Assists Safety/Security Manager in maintaining a vibrant and strong Safety Cadet Program.
• Attends regular OSHA and DOL Safety training.
