Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Program Attendant to support 24/7 monitoring at multiple social services sites. You will help keep buildings secure, monitor residents, enforce rules, and coordinate with site supervisors to meet contract requirements.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to work with a diverse population. Duties cover reception, donor receipts, rounds, and safety checks to protect clients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Answer office telephone professionally.
  • Issue and initial receipts for donations.
  • Report problems in writing to Director.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients' information.
  • Enforce house rules and curfew for residents.
  • Maintain time log, bed checks, and monitor facility.
  • Place business calls for clients without phone access.
  • Monitor resident participation and volunteer work; update roster.
  • Make rounds before wake-up to prevent theft; inspect for irregularities.
  • Announce programs, services, meals as needed.
  • Contact authorities in emergencies; be the point of contact.
  • Keep work area clean and professional.
  • Clean windows, floors, restrooms in common areas.
  • Keep hallways and doorways clear.
  • Secure building after curfew; conduct rounds.
  • Inspect grounds for cleanliness and safety.
  • Work with Director on contracts with hospitals/governments.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by site supervisors.
