Medical City Weatherford, part of the Medical City Healthcare network, seeks a Patient Safety Attendant to provide continuous observation for high‑risk patients and to support the care team in delivering safe, compassionate care.

You will maintain direct sight of patients, accompany them during transport and procedures, document status, assist nursing staff, and participate in safety and improvement activities within our 100+ bed acute‑care facility serving Parker County.

Qualifikationen

• Must have strong observation skills to ensure patient safety.
• Ability to work closely with the care team to prevent falls and manage risk.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Aufgaben

• Maintains a direct line of sight with patient at all times, including when family/visitors are present.
• Accompanies patient during transportation, testing, and procedures away from the patient’s room.
• Establishes a safe environment using fall prevention, infection control, and self-harm prevention protocols; performs room assessments.
• Creates clear, accurate documentation on patient status and activity during the shift.
• Assists nursing staff with tasks when not providing direct patient observation.
• Participates as an active health care team member and promotes teamwork with patients/families.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and opportunities to improve department processes.
• Restocks non-medicinal patient room supplies as needed.
