Job summary

KBR Government Solutions seeks a seasoned Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead O&M and performance for a major government site in Australia. You will manage a team of specialists, ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance, and maintain uninterrupted critical infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.

The role requires on-site leadership across a large campus, travel between facilities, and adherence to contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with adjudicated polygraph or Host Nation PV clearance.
• At least 5 years of experience on projects of similar scope and complexity.
• At least 2 consecutive years in a supervisory facilities maintenance role.
• Experience prioritizing daily/weekly/monthly work plans.
• Experience with environmental health and safety practices across responsible areas.
• Experience in 24x7x365 operations requiring close coordination with mission operations.
• Experience operating and maintaining power generation equipment.
• Ability to read construction drawings and equipment drawings.
• Knowledge of process improvement models (LEAN/Six Sigma, ISO 9000).
• Experience in operations management and large-scale facility and logistics projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct the O&M and repairs including predictive and preventive maintenance across buildings, grounds, engineering, plant, fire protection, security and custodial.
• Develop maintenance scheduling plans aligned with codes and OEM guidance.
• Ensure compliance with OEM instructions for all structures and systems.
• Apply predictive maintenance practices to service areas.
• Monitor maintenance program effectiveness and implement improvements for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Formulate and enforce operational and maintenance standards.
• Hire, train, and lead a capable workforce.
• Coordinate activities to meet contract requirements and site operations.
• Ensure 24x7 mission support with uninterrupted critical infrastructure operations.
• Utilize data analysis to achieve reliable equipment performance at cost-effective rates.
• Draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
• Communicate effectively with diverse teams and resolve operational issues.
• Uphold EH&S and regulatory requirements and monitor contractual obligations.
