UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Temporary Data Center Technician III to lead data center operations and resolve service escalations. This 6‑month to 1‑year position is on-site, requires 24/7 coverage with varying shifts, and may involve remote facility travel.

A 4‑year related experience and an Associate's Degree are expected. The role supports a 24/7 operation, may include after-hours work, and offers career growth within IT Data Center Services.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in a technical field.
• 4 years of job-related experience; may be substituted with additional experience.

Responsabilités

• Monitors and responds to failures including those related to power, hardware, network, and facilities.
• Analyzes system events/alerts and diagnoses potential root causes.
• Responds to incidents with diagnostics, troubleshooting, testing, and remediation.
• Assists with running cable as specified in work orders, including Fiber and Ethernet.
• Plans, schedules, and executes project initiatives as directed by Managers and other levels of Systems Engineers.
• Creates processes to audit and verify equipment/operations to maintain core data center standards.
• Assists with the operational rollout of new data system components, processes, and services.
• Handles escalations from Data Center Technician I and II.
