Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Temporary Data Center Technician III to lead data center operations and handle service escalations. This 24/7 on-campus role requires flexibility to cover shifts, including nights and weekends, with occasional travel to remote facilities.

The ideal candidate has four years of relevant experience, data center knowledge, and experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Datadog.

Qualifications

• Four years of job-related experience; leadership experience may be required.
• Associate's degree in a technical field is required.
• Experience with data center operations and monitoring tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 on-site environment and cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to power, hardware, network, and facility failures.
• Analyze events/alerts and diagnose root causes.
• Coordinate remediation with technicians and engineers.
• Assist with data center project initiatives and inventory control.
