Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Temporary Data Center Technician III to join our on-site IT team in Dallas. The role leads data center operations and handles service escalations from junior technicians, with flexibility to cover shifts on short notice in a 24/7 environment.

This 6‑month to 1‑year temporary position may transition to permanent based on performance. Visa sponsorship is not offered, and candidates must reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant experience; leadership responsibilities.
• Data center operations knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to power, hardware, network, and facilities failures.
• Analyze system events and diagnose root causes.
• Perform diagnostics, testing, and remediation; assist with inventory control.
