Job summary

Montgomery County, PA is seeking an experienced HVAC Boiler Operator to maintain and repair boiler systems across county facilities. The role requires 24/7 on-call availability to ensure continuous operation.

Responsibilities include servicing air conditioners, pumps, cooling towers, and related components; maintaining water treatment; and balancing heating and cooling to optimize performance. Strong mechanical, reading blueprints, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Understand technical literature, prints, drawings and tables pertinent to the equipment.
• Knowledge of boiler plant equipment and systems including alternate fuels.
• Read blueprints, technical manuals, operating manuals and codes.
• Ability to make decisions under emergency conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service boilers and HVAC equipment across facilities.
• Maintain cooling water treatment and ensure proper system operation.
• Balance heating and cooling year-round and keep logs/records.
