Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure by the NJ State Board of Examiners of Nurses
- Membership in the Association of Professional Nurses recommended
- Leadership experience (head nurse/supervisor) for at least 1 year
Responsibilities
- Lead a nursing unit with 24/7 accountability and staffing oversight
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure safe 24/7 nursing coverage
- Develop, implement and evaluate unit protocols and standards
- Provide guidance and supervision to nursing staff and conduct team meetings
- Assist in budget planning and participate in quality assurance activities
- Recruitment and development of unit staff and ongoing education
