Job summary

Adams-County-Communications-Center-Authority in Colorado is seeking a Network Engineer I to plan, deploy, and maintain the network infrastructure supporting 911 call center operations.

You will ensure high availability, security, and performance, troubleshoot issues with the IT team, and provide 24/7 remote support during on-call shifts.

This role requires CompTIA Network+ or CCNA, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and willingness to work across ADCOM facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of IT hands‑on networking experience in an enterprise environment.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I and II network support.
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Assist in disaster recovery and security configuration tasks.
• Provide after-hours on-call support and 24/7 remote coverage.
