Job summary

Sinclair, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) seeks a Master Control Operator for its Pittsburgh, PA stations to manage the multi-channel control point, perform live event operations, insert graphics, adjust playlists and monitor on-air quality to ensure content airs correctly per the traffic and programming schedules.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to multitask under pressure, and effective communication with Managers and Operators across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Master Control Operations.
• Experience in Local TV Station Operations is a plus.
• Experience in switching live local news and sporting events is a plus.
• Must have great attention to detail and ability to multitask, monitoring multiple playlists and video monitors simultaneously.
• General understanding of industry regulations and standards for video, audio, captioning and loudness.
• Understanding of broadcast technology such as switchers, server playout, automation systems, waveform monitors and rasterizers.

Responsibilities

• Operate the multi-channel and multi-brand control point for Sinclair Television Stations in Pittsburgh, PA.
• Perform live event operations, graphics insertion, playlist manipulation and on-air quality monitoring.
• Record, ingest and prepare content for playout.
• Monitor equipment for performance and device failures.
• Coordinate handoffs between shifts and communicate discrepancies to Managers.
