Job summary

Adelphia Gateway, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, seeks a Pipeline Operator to monitor and control natural gas movement from a centralized control room on a 24-hour basis. You will ensure safe, reliable deliveries, comply with PHMSA CRM 49 CFR Part 192, and coordinate with field teams.

The role requires monitoring SCADA, responding to alarms, maintaining logs, and executing the operating plan. Candidates should have control room experience, relevant education, and strong communications,

Qualifications

• High school diploma/G.E.D. plus equivalent work experience in natural gas gathering or transmission or 4+ years of military experience.
• Associate degree plus 2 to 4 years of control board experience preferred.
• Control center experience in natural gas or liquids pipeline industry required; basic knowledge of pipeline operations preferred.
• Familiarity with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA systems is preferred.
• Understanding of standard PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint); advanced knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Controls pumps and compressors remotely, analyzes changing conditions and alarms; adjusts to meet current and anticipated customer demands.
• Executes the daily operating plan to ensure receipts/deliveries meet DOT and tariff standards; optimizes equipment usage.
• Documents relevant operational information daily during shifts.
• Communicates operating plan and system status during shift changes; mitigates outages.
• Monitors flows, pressures and material quality; responds to SCADA alarms and dispatches field personnel.
