Job summary

Superior Essex Communications is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Worker to perform general facility and yard maintenance, coordinate hazardous material disposal, and track fluid inventories. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years related mechanical/electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience with building infrastructure including plumbing, wiring, and lighting.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities and service systems to support 24/7 manufacturing plant operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and duties such as filtration system changes and lubrication of motors, gears, boilers, and compressors.
• Inspect belts and pulleys; replace ballast in light fixtures and perform other building and equipment repairs.
• Perform weekly/monthly inspections on fire protection/sprinkler systems and cranes and hoists.
• Assist in keeping facilities, tools, and equipment in good order and clean.
