A public safety organization is seeking a Command Center Specialist located in Washington D.C. This position involves providing emergency response services, monitoring security systems via CCTV, and coordinating with law enforcement during critical incidents. Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in security/law enforcement, preferably as a Special Police Officer.

Responsibilities

• Provides communication support by handling routine radio and telephone communications.
• Independently provides communications tactical support in potentially life threatening situations.
• Monitors WCSA activities via CCTV and radio to ensure compliance with established safety and security rules.
• Notifies and dispatches law enforcement in cases of emergencies.
• Assists in analyzing security systems data for prevention against criminal activity.
• Maintains current contact list of essential personnel for emergencies.
• Monitors security alarm and CCTV systems to guard against theft.
• Documents and maintains shift activity in the Command Center database.
• Receives and answers calls relating to lost property.
• Dispatches work assignments with other Security Services personnel.
• Performs a variety of related tasks and duties as assigned.
