Job summary

Flexential is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Engineer II to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems across assigned data centers, ensuring uptime of 99.999% and compliance with SLAs. You will manage vendor relations, scheduling, and documentation, and provide hands-on training to Data Center Technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years of data center experience.
• 4+ years of root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with building automation Systems.
• 4+ years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers ( feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, PDU, chillers, pumps, AHUs, CRAH).
• Applicable military experience.

Responsibilities

• 24x7 on-call responsibility.
• Monitor and maintain mission-critical equipment and systems to achieve 99.999% uptime and SLA compliance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specs, project plans and other technical docs.
• Drive change toward operational excellence goals.
• Identify constraints and propose solutions.
• Assist in disaster recovery drills.
• Assist in commissioning efforts.
• Maintain AHJ requirements and change windows.
• Assist in power provisioning for customer orders and electrical modifications.
• Assist with off-hours and weekend maintenance activities.
• Assist with reports on customer utilization (space and power).
• Prepare Method of Procedures (MOP) and SOPs for maintenance and operations.
• Perform facility rounds to ensure operation, aesthetics and cleanliness.
• Monitoring/alerting of facility equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
