BHE GT&S is seeking a Compressor Station Operator for the Shed Station in Georgetown, NY. This 24hr position involves operating reciprocating and turbine engines, managing compressors and auxiliary equipment, and maintaining station records.

Candidates must have six months of mechanical experience and a valid driver’s license, with a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. Responsibilities include taking readings, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safe, compliant operation.

Qualificações

• Six months documented mechanical experience in a combination of industrial equipment, compressors, pumps, electrical motors, controls circuitry, engines and/or related natural gas industry experience or related military experience or equivalent education.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Operate equipment and tools weighing up to 90 lbs and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Climb ladders, work in limited spaces, and follow safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Start, stop and operate reciprocating/turbine engines, compressors and auxiliary equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Record readings and maintain logs of pressures, temperatures, volumes, run hours.
• Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks at the station.
• Operate computerized station controls and adjust pressures/route gas; prepare reports.
• Order and receipt of materials and maintain records.
• Maintain a safe operating environment and assist in overhauls as needed.
