Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP is seeking a Mechanical Specialist for our Bremen, KY Compressor Station. The role requires living within 30 miles and following a 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

weekday schedule, with rotation and occasional call‑outs. The candidate will operate and repair reciprocating and centrifugal natural gas engines, turbines, and compressors; perform routine maintenance, document in OMS, and monitor facility conditions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years progressive, hands-on mechanical experience with natural gas engines and compressor equipment.
• Knowledge of 2- and 4-stroke engines and compressors.
• Knowledge of gas turbines.
• Excellent communication, strong problem solving, and prioritizing skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel and CMMS for maintenance docs.
• Valid Driver’s license and ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
• Safety‑minded with ability to work independently.
• Ability to read manufacturer manuals.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., move tools 50 ft., and operate valve wheels.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and lead repairs and maintenance of engines, turbines, and compressors.
• Complete OMS database compliance and routine maintenance checks.
• Inspect and maintain components, filters, coolers, and shutdown devices.
• Monitor flows and operating conditions for assigned area.
• Respond to emergencies and support other compressor stations as needed.
