Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is seeking qualified professionals to join our Central Control team. This DTMB-based 24/7 operation supports State of Michigan facilities, monitoring life safety systems and coordinating emergency responses.

Military veterans and those with security, firefighting, corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus basic computer skills and the ability to work 8-12 hour shifts across days, evenings, and nights.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a drug screen at hire and randomly thereafter (including marijuana).
• Must not have felonies or misdemeanors as described by state law.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours; lift at least 50 lbs.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certified or willing to become certified.
• Fluent reading, writing, speaking and understanding of English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process emergency information and requests such as medical emergencies, threats of violence, suspicious activity, suspicious packages, fire, and weather emergencies.
• Initiate emergency response efforts and coordinate with law enforcement, dispatchers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor security systems and provide after-action reports and communications.
• Draft and send emergency communications and coordinate activities across teams.
• Assist building operations with after-hours support and maintain equipment/testing inventories.
• Other duties as assigned.
