Job summary

Hillsborough Community College seeks a Dispatcher to operate 24/7 in the Central Dispatch Center, serving as the primary contact for the Department of Public Safety. The position requires Florida Class D security license, CPR/first aid certification, and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement (required) or (1) vocational/technical school beyond High School with 1+ year security guard or law enforcement experience.
• CPR and first aid certification; Florida driver's license; Florida Class D security license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor college-wide security camera system and analyze video to determine proper response.
• Coordinate with 9-1-1 operators and law enforcement; communicate with patrol units.
• Log all radio messages and maintain records in CAD/system.
• Assist in recovery and analysis of archived records during incidents.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
