Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and five years of related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in public safety, security, law enforcement, emergency management.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff.
• Ability to assess situations and respond effectively during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Public Safety Officers, assigns tasks, and reviews completed work.
• Prepares schedule, including overtime needs.
• Prepares employee performance evaluations.
• Reviews reports submitted by staff and provided approval or suggests changes.
• Coordinates inspections, testing, and repairs of college-wide alarm systems.
• Oversees repairs to departmental radios and coordinates annual preventative maintenance.
• Attends departmental and non-departmental meetings.
• Collects and issues departmental uniforms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
