Job summary

ABC News is seeking a Broadcast Maintenance Technician in Washington, DC. You’ll support a 24/7 broadcast facility, install new systems, and maintain studio, control room, and editing resources across multiple ABC News platforms.

The role requires 3+ years of broadcast maintenance experience, with knowledge of SMPTE 2110, AES67, and DANTE being advantageous. Certifications are helpful; ABC offers training as needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of broadcast maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of SMPTE 2110, AES67 and DANTE is helpful.
• Certifications in listed systems are helpful; ABC can provide training.
• Base pay in Washington, DC is $65.18 per hour; varies by region and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support for a 24/7 television broadcast facility with installations of new systems.
• Assist in building and maintaining ABC News studios, control rooms, and editing systems.
• Support a range of production, transmission, and communications systems.
• Collaborate with team to maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
