Job summary

United Ground Express is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to coordinate employee work assignments and maintain efficient 24/7 operations at Newark Liberty International Airport. You will direct teams, respond to calls, and ensure accurate daily reporting while upholding regulatory standards and a professional image.

The role requires strong leadership, English proficiency, multitasking, and solid MS Office skills; flexibility for shift work is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and communicate verbal and written instructions in English.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and make independent decisions.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching and service-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with FAA/TSA/Airline/company regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and drive for operational excellence.
• MS Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings.
• Must obtain security-sensitive ID badge.
• Must complete training and maintain certification.
• Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Make independent decisions on employee work assignments and locations based on operational needs.
• Direct employee work assignments in a professional and courteous manner.
• When operationally necessary, give direct orders to agents while maintaining professionalism.
• Promptly receive and respond to telephone and radio calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Complete daily reporting thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Project a positive image while responding openly, honestly, and timely to inquiries in a courteous manner.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Ability to be flexible and work 24/7, including weekends, holidays and overtime.
