Zusammenfassung

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Animal Pathologist to join our team in Greenfield, IN or Madison, WI. You will evaluate clinical pathology data from animals, author reports, and collaborate with anatomic pathologists to correlate findings across toxicology studies.

You will provide scientific support to colleagues and clients and stay current with pathology methods. The role requires a DVM/VMD with ACVP Clinical Pathology certification and residency or MS/PhD training, plus experience in evaluating

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform the evaluation and interpretation of clinical pathology data from animals exposed to test materials.
• Author comprehensive reports of clinical pathology data while meeting report deadlines
• Collaborate with anatomic pathologists in correlating clinical pathology and histopathologic findings on toxicology studies
• Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external clients
• Provide scientific and technical advice on clinical pathology to the clinical pathology technical staff
• Keep up to date with new procedures, methodologies and technology in clinical pathology
• Provide diagnostic support to the Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine
• Keep up to date with new procedures, methodologies and technology in clinical pathology procedures.
• Attend scientific meetings and continuing education seminars.
• Participate in process improvement projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• DVM/VMD degree
• Formal pathology residency or graduate studies (ie MS, PhD) at an institution in which the training of veterinary pathologists is a primary function.
• Board certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) in clinical pathology.
• 1 year experience evaluating clinical pathology parameters from various species of animals.
• 1 year experience working with other scientists and staff to address scientific issues relating to clinical pathology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in toxicologic pathology
• 5 years experience evaluating clinical pathology parameters from various species of animals.
• 5 years experience working with other scientists and staff to address scientific issues relating to clinical pathology.
