Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Pathology Lab at Ascension Saint Mary’s in Milwaukee, WI. The role supports pathologists by preparing case conferences, tracking pathology send-out work, filing slides, and transcribing codes.

Strong computer and communication skills are essential to provide reliable support during daily operations. Responsibilities include data entry into Epic EMR, handling phone calls, and maintaining accurate logs.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical terminology is a plus.

Labcorp is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Pathology Lab at Ascension Saint Mary’s in Milwaukee, WI Work schedule: Shift 1, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare case conferences for the pathologists
• Track and own all pathology send out work
• Filing blocks and slides
• Transcribe codes
• Proficiency in the use of computers, word processing software and dictation equipment
• Proficiency with numbers
• Maintain cooperative work relationships with internal and external customers
• Research information
• Time management skills
• Answer phones
• Enter reference laboratory testing reports into electronic medical record (Epic)

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 mos or more of prior experience in Pathology
• Medical terminology knowledge or medical terminology training
• Familiarity with computerized data bases
