Job summary

Schnucks is seeking an Assistant Customer Service Manager to lead customer service operations at our Clayton store. The role includes supervising checkers and baggers, scheduling staff, and stepping in for the Customer Service Manager when off-site.

The position emphasizes friendly service, reliability, and store-wide coverage during business hours, with training provided at the store level.

Qualifications

• Internal candidates: minimum six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store/Facility teammates: minimum of six months; Store Support Center teammates: minimum of one year preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Supervise checkers and baggers to maximize checkout efficiency.
• Write schedule for baggers, checkers, U-scan and service center.
• Take on the duties of the Customer Service Manager when they are not on-site.
• Perform service center duties including utility payments, lottery, cash drawer audits, and store safe management.
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.

You could expect the position of Assistant Customer Service Manager to include the following:

DUTIES:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• All duties of checker and customer service person (see specific profiles)
• Take on the duties of the Customer Service Manager when they are not on-site.
• Supervision of checkers and baggers to maximize efficiency of checkout process
• Write schedule for baggers, checkers, U-scan and service center ensuring proper coverage during all business hours.
• Perform all service center duties including but not limited to utility payments, lottery, cash drawer audits, and store safe management
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Bending Stooping Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
